Jacksonville Alumnae Chapter

Membership in Delta Gamma brings with it countless memories and experiences which will shape its members for years to come.
Consistent with our Founders’ thoughts in 1873, our primary purpose is to create an environment for our members in which lasting friendships and our vows of sisterhood emanate all aspects of our Fraternity. We encourage an atmosphere which will foster high ideals of friendship among college women, promote their educational and cultural interests, create in them a true sense of social responsibility and develop in them high qualities of character.
Delta Gamma is more than just a collegiate experience; it is a lifetime  of commitment, support and opportunity awaiting you. It marks the beginning of a relationship that will last for a lifetime.

Welcome, Delta Gamma Sisters!

Congratulations, you’re living in one of the fastest-growing cities in America. (It’s not your imagination… Jacksonville’s population has exploded.)

Whether you’ve moved here from New Jersey or Texas, California, Tennessee, or somewhere in between, I hope you’re settling into your new home. That might be in Springfield, the Beaches, Fleming Island, the Southside, the Northside, San Marco, Bartram Park, or Nocatee.

If you are one of our newer residents, let me offer you a cheerful welcome to our city! I am so glad you’re here and I hope you’ll reconnect with Delta Gamma through our Jacksonville Alumnae Chapter.

If you’ve been in Jax for a lifetime or just a little while, let me offer you a hearty welcome back to a year of reconnecting with your Jax sisters, new and old.

And now that 2024 has arrived, we begin to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Jacksonville Alumnae Chapter!

I can hardly believe that our Fall Kickoff was four months ago. As I write, we are moving into February. Springtime in Jacksonville is glorious.  Soon enough, the flowers will be blooming, the sun will be shining, temperatures will be moderate and lacking high humidity, and your sisters will be eager to reconnect with you.

The Jacksonville Alumnae board has an exciting Spring lined up, full of events and opportunities to give back to Delta Gamma. In January we enjoyed a fun and competitive Bingo night. This month (February) we'll have a sisterhood night at the movies. March brings us the opportunity to connect with Eta Delta (University of North Florida) for an evening of Career Conversations. And in May, we'll conclude with a craft night.

We are hosting Founders Day on Sunday, April 7, and we are delighted to announce our very special guest speaker: Vanessa Alzate, current Council vice president of Alumnae. She will speak about Delta Gamma's sesquicentennial (that's our 150th anniversary). We will also celebrate the Jax Chapter's 70th anniversary.

Stay tuned to our Facebook page and Member Planet for the latest information on all these events. I sincerely hope to be able to reconnect with you at a few events this Spring. Here’s to sunshine and sisterhood days.

It’s been my great honor to serve as president of the Jacksonville Alumnae Chapter in this festive time. Let this be the year you reconnect the bonds of sisterhood with Delta Gamma.

ITB,

Beth Slater Mason

Jacksonville Alumnae President
