Jacksonville Alumnae Chapter

Membership in Delta Gamma brings with it countless memories and experiences which will shape its members for years to come.

Consistent with our Founders’ thoughts in 1873, our primary purpose is to create an environment for our members in which lasting friendships and our vows of sisterhood emanate all aspects of our Fraternity. We encourage an atmosphere which will foster high ideals of friendship among college women, promote their educational and cultural interests, create in them a true sense of social responsibility and develop in them high qualities of character.

Delta Gamma is more than just a collegiate experience; it is a lifetime  of commitment, support and opportunity awaiting you. It marks the beginning of a relationship that will last for a lifetime.

Sisters,

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and are refreshed and ready for 2016. Looking back on the first half of our year, I could not be more proud of what the Jacksonville Alumnae Chapter has accomplished. Over 30 sisters attended our kickoff at Veterans United Brewery and participated in a lively anchor swap. We supported Eta Delta through recruitment and sponsorship assistance, several collumnae events including Yoga on the Green (a session enjoyed by all), and a record-high study bag sale. Also, we raised more than $500 for the Foundation at our 3rd Annual Make it Bake it, Fake it Holiday Party, hosted by Sharen Gaff.

If you have yet to participate in an event this year, I hope you find our spring calendar as broadly appealing as I do. Our Co-VPs: Programming, Michelle and Chelsea, have worked hard to offer a wide array of sister mixers and other events sure to interest our membership. A few highlights to note are the Refresh & Renew - 2016 Kickoff at my home on Sunday, January 24; Founders Day on Saturday, March 5 at Sawgrass Beach Club; and A Taste of Hope Foundation Fundraiser and Wine Tasting with Ponte Vedra at the St. Augustine Airport on Friday, April 15. Please watch your inbox and our Facebook page (DG Jacksonville Alumnae Chapter) for more details on our spring events.

Please also keep your eyes peeled for our spring membership drive. If you have not paid your local dues, now is the time. We will be conducting a drawing at Founder's Day for another anchor tote. New dues payers and all Founders Day attendees will be eligible for the drawing.

Looking forward to a fun-filled spring.

In the bonds,

Dawn Huffer
Jacksonville Alumnae President
